Events across the estate

The estate provides the setting for a range of events throughout the year. Each makes use of the natural landscape — the dunes, ancient woodland, and open farmland. Most are organised by independent promoters and event teams; links to their websites are provided below.

March – May

Trail Running

The Rabbit Run

In partnership with Run4Wales, a trail running event across the dunes and woodland. Includes family-friendly junior races, a 10km, a half marathon, and — from 2026 — a 40km ultra race.

Food & Nature

Forest Feastival

A woodland gathering focused on food, foraging, and the natural environment. Hosted annually in the grounds.

Between The Trees Festival

An independent folk music and nature festival held annually in Candleston Woods each August. Day and weekend tickets available.

Seasonal

Festive Forest Trail

A winter woodland trail through Candleston Woods, featuring lanterns and seasonal storytelling. Runs throughout December.

Trail Running

The Pudding Race

One of the oldest trail runs in South Wales, now over 30 years old. A 6-mile winter course across the dunes, woodland, and the Big Dipper. Organised by Brackla Harriers.

Elements Retreat

Wellness retreats incorporating yoga, breathwork, and cold water exposure. Hosted periodically throughout the year by Zenten Events.
