Candleston Woods offers tent pitches and bell tents within ancient broadleaf woodland on the western edge of the National Nature Reserve. The dunes, the beach, and the village are all within easy walking distance.

Hot showers, a toilet block, and campfire areas are on site. The site is quiet, well-maintained, and a practical base for exploring the surrounding landscape.

Nature Reserve Access

The campsite adjoins the Merthyr Mawr Warren National Nature Reserve. The dunes, woodland trails, and coastline are accessible directly from the site.

The Big Dipper

Europe's second highest coastal sand dune is a short walk from the campsite. Around 200 feet at its highest, with open views over the coast.

Beach Access

The shore is reachable on foot from the campsite, passing through the dune system. Accessible at most states of the tide.
