The estate’s connection to film stretches back to 1962, when Lawrence of Arabia’s desert scenes were filmed on these same dunes. The landscape doubles convincingly for desert, forest, and coastal environments, drawing productions ranging from BBC period drama to Netflix features.
Within the estate’s 100 acres of accessible ancient woodland, two permanent film sets are already in place — removing the need for temporary builds and reducing preparation time considerably. Heritage properties, stone barns, and estate cottages spanning several centuries complete the portfolio.
